LEED Accreditation (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design ))

What is LEED and why is it important?
Created by the US Green Building Council (USGBC), the LEED program provides building owners and operators a concise framework for identifying and implementing practical and measurable green building design, construction, operations and maintenance solutions. LEED is an internationally recognized green building certification system,  providing third-party verification that a building or community was designed and built using strategies aimed at improving performance.

At EnergyTree Consulting we use LEED Specific focused and structured way of measuring and reviewing your building's energy performance.

Our Story

The idea for the company name and concept EnergyTree came from the founder Dawn Monfries' love of nature and her commitment to sustainable energy. Nature is one the most effective producers and users of energy (nothing is wasted) so too, we take our skill and expertise and apply them to your business challenges so that nothing is wasted. The company name emphasizes Dawn's love of trees and their superb and efficient use of energy. Trees take the resources available to them water, soil nutrients and sunlight and turn these into something unique, spectacular and much more than could have been expected. At EnergyTree we strive to do the same when solving your business challenge and implementing energy efficient solutions, we can work effectively to produce more than ever before.

BIO

Founder and president Dawn Monfries is LEED GA Certified and LEED AP trained. She has more than 20 years of project management, technology, management and industry experience with small budgets and multi-million dollar projects. She has worked in various industries including, Oil, Chemical, Wirless Software and general technology Dawn has a keen interest and a great passion for Sustainable energy efficient design. She is poised to take EnergyTree's services to the next level and ensure customer success.

Her qualifications include a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University, as well as an MBA from Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University.
